Double Rifles and Bagration Update

Have been rather busy lately and getting caught by a nasty fever doesn't help either. Doesn't mean I was just sitting idle though, as I managed to do quite a lot before the illness. The World Without End extended league kicked off on May 4th and the Firestorm: Bagration campaign on May 18th is closing fast; there was no more time to waste.

Inquisitorial Dreadnoughts, powered down
The Dreadnoughts were the first models I worked on. Just some minor highlight and detail works to make it tabletop-worthy and presentable. Still far from what I originally envisioned but it'll do for now, as those two Stormravens are far from presentable. Next up, are the Flames of War stuff and I'll begin with the Firestorm Troops that will be used for the campaign.

It's not exactly a top notch paintjob but I hope it fulfilled the standard that my fellow Legionnaires had hoped for. The following are some of my own stuff that you'll soon see in the campaign.

StuG IV
Marder III H
Gepanzerte Aufklarungs
I'm pretty much ready for the campaign. Perhaps it will be good if I do an army shot of my current 'motor pool' before the campaign. If you noticed closely, the Gepanzerte Aufklarungs vehicles' machinegun are still missing. Still have that and a platoon of 10.5 cm artillery battery to finish. That's four days left, wish me luck!

Sometimes, awesomeness can go overboard...

WS5 / BS3 / S4 / T3 / W1 / I6 / A2 / Ld8 / Sv5+
*That stat looks decent enough and promising.*

Add in two power weapons and a 5+ Inv Save.
*Okay, you have my attention.*

To make it more interesting, this dude has access to some dedicated transport choices.
*Hmm...*

What if, you get all of the above for the cost of a 4th Edition Space Marine?
*Wow, that's awesome! But it'd probably only play the role of shock troops.*

Alright, how about this? There are a few IC standing around that gives -1 Toughness to all enemy units in the first round of assault, and on certain condition that particular IC can also provide +1 Strength to his unit.
*Dude, are you kidding me?*

Hmm...I don't think that's enough. Why don't we allow this dude access to Land Raiders and Stormravens too?
*What???*

Don't you think it's a bit fragile? Lets give this close combat specialist the option to include some guys with Power Weapon/Storm Shield and give them the same cost. Shouldn't be a big problem, right?
*Hey, I think we should stop here.*

I have another great idea, let's create an IC that allows this dude as Troops choices.
*...fainted...*

Lesson of the Day: Always look at the bigger picture.

Titan's Might

This is my first post of 2012. As far as I've concerned, there are only two resolutions for me this year; (1) no more new armies, and (2) to complete the paintjobs on all my armies. Why? Coz except for my Nurgle Daemons and Bloodbowl Wood Elves, none is actually 100% fully painted. There are 2-3 other armies that are 95-98% but still, it's not the 100% I initially planned. If I had to buy, probably just as an expansion to my current existing armies. By the way, as promised in my previous post, here's of the Gladiatorial Unrestricted Neurolink Dreadknight of Adeptus Mechanicus.

Some people asked why I didn't use the flash function on the pictures I took. These two pictures below tells you why. Since a picture worth more than a thousand words, hope they explained everything.

Some like the Dreadknight just the way it is, while some thinks the armour plating is a bit too plain and empty. So, what say you all? Should I add some markings or not? (and what type of markings should I add? Don't want to make it too chaos-like). Whatever you guys decide, Kravin approves the deployment of this mechanical construction on the battlefield.
Lord Inquisitor Kravin

By Kravin's approval, it's clobberin' time!...err, what I meant was For The Emperor!
The theme for my next post will be Tanks, lots of them. Till then, adios.

Hit 'Em Hard

In the previous post, you've met the defensive aspect of Kravin's Inquisition. Now, you'll catch glimpses of the offensive side. They're not exactly your typical humans, as their sheer raw abilities have surpassed the mighty Astartes. However, such great power is what you should always expect from any Inquisition force; puritan and radical. They will not hold anything back.

Dark Mechanicum Arco-Flagellants

Those above are just a tip of the iceberg. The amount of pain that they can dish out even put some Wolf Lords to shame. And have I mentioned that with Kravin around, they're scoring units too? But, enough of the lobotomized killing automatons. These pictured below are the actual heavy hitters, the ones that redefine the words 'slaughter' and 'overkill'; the same ones that forced the Sanguinary Guards into retirement in the previous Ghemehaal campaign. Given their status as assassins, the value of having these pictures is like a diamond among coal.

Eversor Assassin

Death Cult Assassins

That would be all for the Kravin's Inquisitorial infantry. There were rumours of psykers, servitors, and xenos also being part of his force, however there were no proof yet to support these rumours. Pictured below is a sneak preview of a future post.

Rock Hard Warriors

Cheap, durable, and scoring. Rules wise, that pretty much sums up what the Crusaders are. Kravin's Inquisition consisted of his loyal followers and his Dark Mechanicum ally. Thus, the Crusaders employed in his force slightly differs from one another. While one group was trained in the ways of the Inquisition, the other was created as a result of lobotomy and brainwash in the gene lab of Mars. Here are the two groups of Crusaders in my army.

These guys should not be forgotten too. They're the promising young prospects that has fully embraced the concept of the Hydra doctrine. Until the day they prove themselves worthy of the Junior Inquisitor title, they shall remain as Warrior Acolytes under the watchful eye of Kravin himself

Kravin's Inquisition is Rollin'

Most of my frequent visitors would have known about the Ghemehaal: Annihilation campaign that is going on right now. Truth be told, I started the campaign with the "three-colours-minimum" standard. As time goes by, I managed to get them painted one by one. I've painted quite a lot since, but only managed to take these two pictures so far.
