Hit 'Em Hard

In the previous post, you've met the defensive aspect of Kravin's Inquisition. Now, you'll catch glimpses of the offensive side. They're not exactly your typical humans, as their sheer raw abilities have surpassed the mighty Astartes. However, such great power is what you should always expect from any Inquisition force; puritan and radical. They will not hold anything back.

Dark Mechanicum Arco-Flagellants

Those above are just a tip of the iceberg. The amount of pain that they can dish out even put some Wolf Lords to shame. And have I mentioned that with Kravin around, they're scoring units too? But, enough of the lobotomized killing automatons. These pictured below are the actual heavy hitters, the ones that redefine the words 'slaughter' and 'overkill'; the same ones that forced the Sanguinary Guards into retirement in the previous Ghemehaal campaign. Given their status as assassins, the value of having these pictures is like a diamond among coal.

Death Cult Assassins

That would be all for the Kravin's Inquisitorial infantry. There were rumours of psykers, servitors, and xenos also being part of his force, however there were no proof yet to support these rumours. Pictured below is a sneak preview of a future post.

Rock Hard Warriors

Cheap, durable, and scoring. Rules wise, that pretty much sums up what the Crusaders are. Kravin's Inquisition consisted of his loyal followers and his Dark Mechanicum ally. Thus, the Crusaders employed in his force slightly differs from one another. While one group was trained in the ways of the Inquisition, the other was created as a result of lobotomy and brainwash in the gene lab of Mars. Here are the two groups of Crusaders in my army.

These guys should not be forgotten too. They're the promising young prospects that has fully embraced the concept of the Hydra doctrine. Until the day they prove themselves worthy of the Junior Inquisitor title, they shall remain as Warrior Acolytes under the watchful eye of Kravin himself

Double Trouble

In the midst of the Inquisition painting madness, random madness do occur along the way. Some may refer it as inspiration. Whatever it may be called, here I present to you the honourable warriors of the Alpha Legion.

Kravin's Inquisition is Rollin'

Most of my frequent visitors would have known about the Ghemehaal: Annihilation campaign that is going on right now. Truth be told, I started the campaign with the "three-colours-minimum" standard. As time goes by, I managed to get them painted one by one. I've painted quite a lot since, but only managed to take these two pictures so far.

The α-20 Jetfighter

Quoted from The Aquila:
"The Aquila has been flooded with reports regarding the sightings of an unknown flyer fleet patrolling the skies of Ghemehaal. Based on reports received, this flyer is called the α-20 Jetfighter. We are still looking for more information but one thing is for sure, they are on Ghemehaal's side. As we all agree, pictures will tell more than a thousand words. Here are various pictures of the said aircraft, courtesy of the ever-enthusiastic kind citizens of Ghemehaal and the city's surveillance footage."

Kravin's Inquisition

Just a quick update here. So far, everything's going as scheduled. Pictured below is what I managed last week, will proceed with the plastic ones this week. After they're all assembled, I'm going to post pictures of each faction involved in this particular Inquisition.

The Badab War Project, Part 2

As of 12 midnight yesterday, my Badab War project has been officially put on hold. Not much progress since the previous post, and this was my best effort minutes to midnight.

As you can see for yourself, despite the simple colour scheme, there's still a bit more work to be done. I've thought of drilling the barrels, but was a bit worried that it might end up looking like a pig's snout. Anyway, feel free to drop any comments. I'll definitely keep that in mind once the project is unearthed. As per Azlan's suggestion, I'll probably just do a typical basing of bestial brown rim with earth and grass for them. But since nothing is done yet, I'm still open for suggestions.

This was how the Cursed Founding looked like at 00.01 am, and somehow it has a taste of sorrow to it. They deserved better, but I'll make sure such a sacrifice would not come to waste. With the entombment of a 'box', it was time to unveil another 'box'.

The theme for this week will definitely be filing and assembly of the metal figures. It'll soon be followed by assembly of the plastic figures. I'm expecting everything to be primed by the next 2-3 weeks. Ghemehaal, here comes the pain!

The Badab War Project, Part 1

Some of you guys may have already known that I have taken part in Alvin's Badab War mini project. Why? It's actually simple, I just need an excuse to give justice for my pile of AOBR marines and terminators. Plus, this particular chapter that I chose, also gave me an excuse to build a prototype Custodes model. I've started with a 1500pts army (pending the Siege Mantlets), with a future plan of 2 Thunderfire Cannons (if a Finecast version is available) to round it up into a 1750pts army. For 2000pts, I have no idea at the moment.

Concurrently preparing myself for the upcoming Legio Malaysia's campaign, I've decided to put this project on hold. So, I've given myself a deadline to finish whatever I can by this weekend. It turns out that I fared better than I expected; primed, basecoated, primary colour applied, and preshading done. So far, this is what I've managed since Sunday night.

Hope I can do more work on them by this weekend before officially putting them on hold. But who knows, maybe I could pull everything off. Stay tune for more updates on this project (hopefully).

Works in Progress

A few weeks back, I've assembled a Chaos Lord/Aspiring Champion/Herald after giving in to my inner impulse for a conversion job. In truth, I've completed painting the model quite long ago. To give justice to the model, here's Lord Steffon Aureus.

And here are some WIP pictures of the projects that kept myself busy since the Apocalyptic Birthday Bash & Golden Kris. First, allow me to show my interpretation of what the monstrous Hellcannon should look like.

Followed by the vehicles that Inquisitor Kravin will bring to Legio Malaysia's Ghemehaal: Annihilation campaign; 1 Razorback, 2 Chimeras, and 2 Stormravens.

That's all for now, folks.

The Bronze Kris

I missed the first Golden Kris due to work commitments.
Managed to participate in the second one, but came back with nothing.
Finally managed to win something in the third installment.

Ladies and gentlemen, my first ever Golden Kris award: Third Place for the Large Model category - Plague Rhino Mk. II
Sure, third place might not be significant to some of you out there. For all I care, it's not easy to get one and I'm absolutely damn proud of finally getting one for myself.

Doomsday

I used to be a comic book fan. I abandoned the hobby long ago as the financial side to maintain it was troublesome for an average high school kid. However, it doesn't mean that I've completely forgotten about it coz whenever certain random words popped up during conversations, random images are projected into my mind. For instance, when somebody says 'Venom' or 'Multiple', these came to mind:
Likewise, the first thing that came to mind when somebody suggested to me to build a Doomsday Device for tomorrow's Apocalypse game, is this:
After brainstorming for a couple of hours, I used the Superman-Killer concept as a basis for my own Doomsday Device of Nurgle. After five days, or 10-hours of work to be exact, I ended up with this thing of vile beauty.
I hope it'll do well tomorrow, blowing up enemies left and right like nobody's business. I haven't forget though, tomorrow is also the event for the annual Golden Kris. Here's a WIP snapshot for my Large Category entry.
Till then, ciao..
